Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's called/e-mailed/sent private messages to me over the past week. I felt like I was on suicide watch. ;) haha My posts weren't THAT depressing, were they?
But anyway, I am in a better place this week. We have found a potential new lender and are moving forward with that whole process. In the meantime, our old lender offered to do another appraisal of our property in the hopes that the value will come in higher than the last one. It can't hurt - but I'm not holding my breath.
So we are currently pursuing two loans. Hopefully that will increase the odds that at least one of them will get approved.
Now for a little good news. I talked to my builder late last week and he's still determined to break ground as soon as possible, even if we don't have a loan set up yet. And I'm looking at our extended 10-day forecast and I see that next Monday through Wednesday the forecasted highs AND lows are above freezing...
I am praying. Hard.
